The Ortigia

The Ortigia came from a watch I found on my honeymoon in Sicily. We were walking through Ortigia when I spotted it in a small vintage bazaar, an old 1960s watch from a brand I’d never heard of before. I loved it straight away and my wife ended up buying it for me.

That watch became the starting point for this one. The case shape, black dial and gold detailing all take inspiration from the original, while the design has been reworked into something that feels more suited to everyday wear.

Finished with a leather strap and a slightly domed crystal, the Ortigia has a simple vintage look that doesn’t try too hard. It’s a watch tied to a place and a memory, and one I wanted to bring back in my own way.

UK orders are sent with Royal Mail. Tracked 48 is free and usually arrives within 2–3 working days after dispatch, while Tracked 24 is £5 and usually arrives the next working day or the day after.
